Do you need sheets for the bassinet portion of this play yard?

And what sheets fit the bottom part the best?

No sheets for the bassinet portion, we always just put either a lap pad or a receiving blanket down. 

We got the BRU generic brand of sheet for the mattress ... I forget what they're called.

Any play yard sheet will fit the Chicco.

We are using a sheet.  It's Carter's brand, it's very soft and fits perfectly.

We got a couple of Graco's play yard sheets from BRU and they fit just fine.  I've read lots of good things about the Carter's brand also.  I found them on Amazon.com.

We played with the sheets at BRU yesterday and decided on the Carter's velour quilted sheet. In the reviews on BRU for the playard that's what everyone recommended as well. I bought some Eddie Bauer ones at Target and they were way to big imo.
