just found out last night
I've been on infertility treatments for PCOS for the past six months and last night I got a positive pregnancy result, just when I started accepting that this process wouldn't be the same as my girlfriends who are one-try wonders.
We're on the cusp--could be anywhere between December 29th (according to when my period last started) and January 3rd (according to when I ovulated). We'll find out at twenty weeks, but for now, I'm a little over a month along.
This is incredibly surreal, and we haven't told anyone yet, though I'm bursting to do so... we do plan to tell our parents on Mama's Day weekend when we go home... I've ordered letterpress cards that say "Happy Mother's Day, Gramma" and when we were TTC, I collected sweet grandparent things--little board books, a onesie with a guitar on it that says "My grandpa rocks!" etc.
With PCOS, the risk of miscarriage is higher, but I'm going to continue to do what I've always done and that is hope.

I have a due date like you... somewhere between 12/30 and 1/2. Hopefully we will find out more next Friday!
