humidifier

I'm working on my registry and have a question. Do I need a humidifier for the baby? And if so, cool or warm mist? I'm hearing mixed reviews from family and need some input from you gals. Thanks!

    We have one... and use it - a lot!  It just a cheap Vicks one... but it works.  Its a warm mist.  My understanding of why you would want to go with cold over warm - is a safety/burn issue.  Our LO is in his crib and the humidifier is no where he could reach.  So it works for us.

    We have both.  Our warm mist has been constantly running since November and I like it much better because it's easier to clean.  It just needs a quick soap/water wash and refill and it's ready to go vs. our cool mist that requires a filter change which I have yet to go out and find the right filters.

    We use a Vicks warm one.  It was a must this last winter!
