How long did your pp bleeding last after late loss?

I'm concerned about the pp bleeding. I am almost 5 weeks pp(Tomorrow will be 5weeks), and still have dark brown with some pink flow. Light but nonetheless there. The ob pretty much sent me on my way at 11days postpartum, said we can resume sex when I feel comfortable and said I was healing nicely. I saw my RE the same day and he asked us to wait 2 more weeks to resume sex. We waited until a couple days after 4w mark, and the next day I bled bright red. I've called the ob several times since losing Lily, bc I am terrified of getting infection. They said my dr doesn't have concerns about pp bleeding until after 6-6 and a half weeks pp. Is it normal to still have brown/pink flow after this long? Sorry this is so long. I'm just a mess.

Hey sweetie. My bleeding stopped at 3 weeks. You see the RE this Monday again, right? My OB says that bleeding usually goes about 4 weeks but can go as long as 6. I hope it ends soon.

i'm 6 weeks pp today.  i, too, still have some spotting even though at my 4 week pp f/u appointment, my ob/gyn told me that i had stopped bleeding.  i think the spotting is normal.  i still haven't gotten AF either but i do have some bright red bleeding at times.  i have no idea what's going on, but my ob told me that if i still do not get AF 8 weeks pp to give him a call.  

are you worried about getting an infection from sex?  i'm a bit confused. DH & i still have not had sex.  doc told us to wait 6 weeks.  we will try this weekend actually.

My SIL didn't lose, but she said hers lasted 8 weeks. I'm working on week #2 and already wishing it'd go away! I hope yours goes away soon.

Mine lasted 3 weeks. I had spotting.. nothing more. I'm on provera to bring on the witch.

Hey Lindsay! Yes I have another appt on Monday with the RE, we were supposed to start another inject cycle then, but with all this bleeding he decided to push back the cycle 2 weeks back. He did say he would see me for sono since I am a nervous wreck. I also have a f/u appt with the mfm we saw at the hospital so we can discuss what happened and how it will affect us IF we get pg again. Needless to say I am a complete mess right now.

Hey there! Thank you for your reply. When I went to the hospital,I was 6cm dialeted with bulging membranes. The ER dr said I had an infection. 3 days later I dellieverd Lily and her placenta pathology reports stated chorioamnioitis, chorionic villitis, and villous edema. Dr Google has only made my anxiety worse, and has made me a nervous wreck thinking I may have uterine infection. about 2 and a half weeks pp I felt very sick, my body hurt, I was having some itchyness, the nurse called in diflucan. The next day I felt the same and had trouble urinating and cloudy fmu. Called back and she called in an antibiotic (Macrobid) for UTI. I dropped off sample after she called in prescription and never got test results back. So in the back of my mind I have this fear that there is still infection or retained placenta. I know I'm a freak.. but Ireally am worried. The ob wont see me until 6and a half weeks if the bleeding is still there. So the waiting is killing me..

I barely bleed pp until I got my first period. It was heavier, lasted a few days longer and hurt like an S.O.B

Mine lasted three weeks PP and still waiting for AF. It's been a total of a month since our loss.

My bleeding stopped at 2 weeks post D&C, but I've been having brown spotting/discharge still, and I'm 5.5 weeks post. No sex yet either. Kind of scared to, because I had stitches put in my cervix and I'm worried about bleeding/infection, despite Dr. saying it's OK.

so sorry sweetie.  i didn't know you had that many complications pp.  i don't have any advice for you unfortunately, but i hope (i'm sure) it's nothing.
