My OB office is driving me crazy! (Long)

DH has to have forms filled out by my office so he can submit for FMLA.  We turned the forms in to my OB office on March 15.  They said to allow a month for the forms to be completed, because the one lady that handles them only works on them from 9-12 on Thursdays. This is a huge practice, so having only one lady working on them seems strange.

I forgot about calling before my appt in April, but have been calling all week to see if I can pick them up at my appointment on Monday.  I have left 3 messages this week and she has yet to call me back to let me know if my forms are ready.  I even asked if she was out of the office, but the said that she has been in all week.

I don't want to act like the crazy pregnant lady, but to me this is getting ridiculous.  DH has to have to forms turned in to his job so things can get approved, and state government does nothing quickly, so we need the forms ASAP.

I feel like my only option if she doesn't return my call before Monday is to demand to see her while I'm there.   I hate having to deal with this one aggravating lady when everyone else in the practice is so nice.

  • I was lucky my dr filled mine out while I was in the room, didnt seem like it was that big of a deal. I work in a dr office and we have one lady fill out forms fmla/disability etc for all 17 dr. I know it is frustrating but keep on them.

  • That sounds like a giant PIA.  I hope you get everything straightened out with plenty of time to turn everything in!

  • Ugh, so sorry!  I hate it when you have to rely on someone else to do something this important, and then they drag their feet!
  • That's so aggravating! Maybe you should ask to see her when you go, especially if you can't get her on the phone.
