GD and extra Fluid

Yesterday at my ultrasound (33ish weeks) the tech said my fluid level was above normal, and said that was common for those with GD. He didn't give me a number as to how much extra fluid I have, but said that it wasn't alarming.  I haven't done any extra research on my own, and plan to ask my doctor next week; but what are the effects, if any, of extra fluid?

I had the same thing - they told me not to worry (this was at 31.3 weeks) and that a little above normal wouldn't be an issue.  I am curious to find out if anyone knows though too....
