When did you start to show? I know the size of my uterus and baby is small right now @ 13wks.
But at work yesterday, all the women said I look pregnant! I'm all "it's all bloat! It's gas!" and they're like "nope, you look pregnant. Your pants are fitting differently.)
GRRRRRR.
And the tops of my abs hurt - like I've been doing crunches. What's up with that?
Finally - what about the belly button? Mine was quite 'cavernous' before and now it looks like it's gonna become an outie any minute. And that's really distressing!!!
Why does being 40 and pregnant make me feel like a big baby?
(I want my mommy!)
Aloha - and thanks for being here!

Re: Really stupid questions....
With my first I think I went from just looking fat to looking pregnant around 12 weeks or 13 weeks. And yep, I had similar sorts of pain, some was simple round ligament pain, but as I got bigger it got worse and my doc suspected it was some adhesions I had from a somewhat botched gall bladder removal. REALLY hoping that is over and done with and won't happen again this time.
And finally, my belly button never popped! I kep an innie the whole time!
No worries for feeling like a baby, all the changes and the raging hormones? Its a lot to take in and can really be overwhelming!!!

Thanks so much ladies! This whole body changing thing is really creeping me out.
Stacey,
Not stupid at all. I like your questions since they are the exact ones I continue to search for answers from others to.
I think I started showing right around 14 weeks or so. The gas belly I had gotten so used to that would subside overnight one day just didn't. I usually wear nice and comfy scrub suits to work and they all are riding up on me now.
Not sure about abs being sore per se on my end today , but my whole body has ached at one point or another since becoming pregnant. At times, it has felt as if I've gone horseback riding or done tons of squats, my thighs and butt hurt so much. I've always prided being in pretty good shape at 40 up until now. I have felt like a weak, sloth.
I hear you about the belly button, too. It's changing shape, totally! I sort of miss my flat stomach and worry about it never coming back. Boo hoo.
I think everything is sounding normal for you in comparison, though.
I call and whine to my mom just about every day here on the mainland and cannot wait for her to come back from Kaneohe at the end of May.
You're in a warm and sunny place!
Keep your chin up and Take Care!
