IUD insertion

I got an IUD today and have had horrible cramps since.  I knew this could happen but was hoping I would be on the lucky ones it didn't happen to.  If you had cramping with your IUD, how long did it last?  It feels like a horrible, horrible period.  I want to crawl in bed for the rest of the night.  Advil is not working.  I think I'm going to pull the heating pad out.  Any other suggestions?

    that's how i was the day i got mine inserted, the next day i was totally fine.

    i hope that's the same for you!

    how bout your meds from after your c-section?
    i keep mine in case i need them.

    I cramped for 2 days, used a heating pad and took lots of motrin. I hope you feel better soon!

    Thanks.  The c/s drugs worked -- at least it let me sleep better. Good suggestion.  Still cramping some today but it's much better than yesterday!
