All I've got is the Moby

Would this work for carrying in a hip hold?  DD was 19 lbs 4 oz at her 1 year.

I don't wear her a lot (mostly hold her when she isn't being Miss Independent), but I'd like to try the hip/sling hold the next time we go grocery shopping.  Even though, she does like sitting in the cart and watching everything that's going on.

  • Yes, I find it very comfortable, actually.  Instead of putting the middle part with the tag around your waist, you put it over one shoulder, then cross the ends over your opposite hip.  Wrap it back and forth over your hips until it's short enough to tie.  Your little one sits on the X that you made on your hip (the one opposite of the shoulder that you draped the fabric over to begin with).

I think I did find different instructions from the Moby website itself...seems like you fold the Moby in half and "thread" the ends through the loop you made w/ the folded fabric.

I'm going to give it a shot this weekend for our weekly grocery trip.

I followed the instructions from the booklet that came with the Moby, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is another way as well.

Yeah, I remember the booklet that I had showed it a completely different way...but then I went to their website and it was completely different.  Must've revised something in the year since I got mine.

yes...this is how i did it. i think the other directions are more for the moby D since it is smaller. practice at home before shopping...it's a little tricky at first to get everything in the right spot! but, i do like it! (actually made me want a wrap besides the moby!)
