I forget that some people don't understand babywearing.

An aquaintance was telling me today how we need to keep Ryan in his infant carseat as long as possible so we can snap it into the stroller. We rarely even use our stroller.

I said, "No, usually I just wear him in my wrap carrier. It's easier for us."

She looked at me like I had 3 heads! Haha. But seriously, it is SO much easier to wear him (especially in public places) than to navigate the stroller.

I'm obsessed with babywearing now. So is DH, which I love. I'm currently waiting for my Mei Tai to arrive Big Smile

  • Lol, I'm the same way. With DS I rarely used the stroller until he was older and NEVER once snapped the seat into it.

Life is so much better wearing DS!  I was on the train yesterday and most people thought he looked sweet.  And definitely much easier getting on and off.  I sometimes use my stroller to hold stuff though!

  • Ha - where are you in your siggy pic? Looks like you just stopped for a photo op in the middle of a department store - lol.

I agree about wearing. DD is 19 months and I don't even have a stroller at home any more -- I keep it at my moms and on the rare occasion that I need it (like once every 4 months) I just go get it from her house.

  • I agree! I wore DD while we were furniture shopping this weekend, and it was SO much easier. It was a tight squeeze around a lot of that furniture... I'm a HORRIBLE driver with the stroller... It would have been horrible had I taken it!

If we go to the mall or something, I usually take the stroller in just to carry the diaper bag and such... if Mom is with me, I don't, because she just packs the diaper bag as well. LOL. I think Keevie has spent all of 1 hour COMBINED in our stroller. I wish I hadn't spent $70 on it!

  • I don't understand the people who lug around a 5 month old in a car-seat. I feel bad for those dads (because I usually only see men carrying them) but then I feel superior because I am skipping around wearing DD :-) enjoying my hands being free.

yeah those things are so heavy! DH likes tobabywear too. I did get a snap n go this time around b/c I can see how with a toddler babywearing may not be ideal in all situations. But for the most part the only time I've used a stroller is for long trips or jogging.
