I haven't 100% decided yet...we bought gender neutral equipment this time around in case #2 is a boy. Part of me wants the fun of it being a total surprise. The planning part of me wants to know asap. Our families want us to let it be a surprise. We are strongly considering me and Wes finding out and keeping it a secret between ourselves. I know that will be super hard, especially when doing the nursery and such, but I figure the nursery can just be off limits to spectators until the child is born right?
Lol oh well I have a few years to decide since #2 is at least 3 years down the road.
I don't think I'll find out. Toward the end of my pregnancy I started feeling like there was no surprise left. We knew the sex,had the 3d ultrasound, and induced. I think for the second one I'll be able to relax more and not have to control every little detail.

This was us too...and the next one I'll know their birthday from pretty early on in the pregnancy because since I had a c/s this time around I know I'll have a c/s next time too. The only thing we had as a surprise (though not for us, but for others) was her name. That gave us a little excitement
We'll probably find out with our next one. If it just so happens to be a boy then we probably would keep it a surprise if we were blessed with any more than that.
We always planned not to find out the gender of our first, but to find out for the next since we might need to buy different things if the next was of an opposite gender. Now, after all this waiting, I want to know asap! DH would still be fine waiting, but all I do is wait so with finding out the sex I can finally have some immediate gratification! lol Watch, I might finally get to that point and he/she'll keep their legs closed. ;-)

If I'm blessed with another child, the sex will be a surprise when I find out at my 18 week ultrasound!
I completely agree! Plus, I like to have a name picked out for monogrammed/personalized things. I also loved doing Allie's nursery and made it very personal for her. She will keep her furniture and we will be getting new things for the next baby.
Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in.
& Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.

I'll also likely have a repeat c/s so we'll probably know the birthday too, but you never know, maybe we'll go into labor before our scheduled c/s date! Also, I won't do the 3/4D ultrasound so my surprise at birth will be what the baby looks like. There are lots of surprises that come w/ having a new born! Eye color, looks, personality, temperment, weight - lots!
I haven't completely decided yet either! I love the idea of it being a surprise until delivery but I just don't know if I can wait! I guess I will see how I feel when I am pregnant with my second which should still be a little ways away!!
I did not find out with Haley. I don't know HOW I did it, looking back, but I am so glad that I did. It just made the birth even that more exciting and emotional. I really wanted a girl, but had convinced myself that she was a boy, so when the Dr said, "It's a girl" it was such an emotional high. I was crying and, well, screaming, really...LOL! Everyone in the room just became so emotional and happy...even the nurse had tears in her eyes! It was a really cool, awesome moment!
I did find out with Caleb and we will with this baby. As much as I would like to re-live that moment like I had with Haley, I just can't wait 9 months to find out again! I want to know NOW!
I'm waaaaay too much of a planner not to find out. I love finding new things, knowing the name to call them. All of that. We are doing nutral on the big purchase items so we can reuse them but there are still so many other things to do.
I don't really want to do a 3D because I want to wait to see my little one. I'd also get my hopes up that they will look like one of us and they the little stinker would probably change just becuase lol...
I always thought I'd want to wait with a second child, but honestly, I'm not sure. If we were expecting a boy I would want to know so that I can plan ahead as far as clothes are concerned. (All of our baby equipment is gender neutral, including the nursery, which we will reuse everything.)
I guess we'll decide once we get to that point.

Lol this is what I tell lots of people...it's a surprise whether you find out at 18-21 weeks or at birth.

I'm not sure if I could stand not knowing and will probably want to find out.
