    We gave him one when we switched him to a bed at 18 months. When he was in the crib he seemed to do just fine without one so I didn't want to mess with the formula! We never bought a toddler pillow either, we just gave him one of our slightly flattened ones so it wasn't so huge and poofy for him.

    I gave DS a small travel pillow around 12 months and he loves it.  He either sleeps on it or curls up with it in his arms - really cute.

    We haven't started yet either - at 22 months tomorrow. He'll move into his big boy bed just after his birthday, and get a duvet/comforter then, but we're not sure about a pillow...

    No pillow at almost 16 months and sleeps great (nap yesterday):

    Though really she sleeps with so much other stuff I wonder if it would make a ton of difference...

    We haven't yet.  He doesn't show any interest in one.
