Do they have to be fleece to keep diaper creams away? Or can any fabric be used?

i have some small flannel wipes that i don't like to use for wipes. i use them when i really slather on the cream for a rash and so far no issues.

That's what I hoped to do. I bought a large lot of used wipes from Spot's but then ppl. bought us new flannel wipes, too. So, the used ones are perfect for liners!

I used t-shirt strips to keep Vaseline off my dipes and it was fine. Haven't used liners for normal diaper cream applications though, I use either wedela or CA baby when he needs it and both have been fine.
