CD1 spotting vs flow?

I need to get bloodwork CD3. RE said CD1 is first day of red flow before 2:00pm.

I always spot before my period. Yesterday started off brown and then turned red but the red wasnt heavy and didnt really need a tampon mostly only there when I wipe or go to the bathroom, and this morning same thing. Just because it is red does that count as flow (light) and yesterday would be CD1?

    I'm the same as you..I spot before. You should count ANY red as day one

    I always THOUGHT that any red, spotting or full flow was considered day 1, but my RE said Day is full flow, not spotting.
