Anyone else read Prenatal Parenting by F.Wirth?

This book is amazing for moms-to-be who have anxiety about their pregnancies. The author suggests a spiritual approach to promote well-being of the baby. Exercises such as taking "fetal love breaks" and sentence stems for journaling have really taught me to put my mind at ease. Author begins the book by quoting studies done on human and animal babies that later connect to the techniques he discusses. Whether you believe in God or just the goodness of the universe, it teaches you what a blessing it is to have the honor of gestating a baby. Like most, I used to believe that as long as I show up for all of my OB appointments and get all the right tests - me and the baby were in good hands. In order to thrive however (even as adults) humans need emotional and spiritual nourishment. This book is great for teaching one how to provide it for yourself and the baby.

I highly recommend checking it out. Unfortunately, its out of print. I found mine on Amazon for $6!

If anyone else has read it I would love to hear your feedback.

Fetal love break = setting aside some time during each day to send love to your baby. You can talk to it, rub your belly, sing to it... whatever. Sounds silly, but makes sense after reading this book.

I'm sensing sarcasm by the use of all the quotation marks, but I'll humor you anyway. It was published by HarperCollins Pub. in 2001. I know from the description it comes off very new age/religious type of writing, but the author is actually a clinical professor of pediatrics at Tufts University. (By welcoming feedback I meant constructive criticism if you've actually read the book.)
