so my 4 year old practially begged me for ice cream after lunch, which i said no to many times..if you eat your supper you can have some then..he used every toddler trick to get it (puppy eyes..pleading..etc)
He just went upstairs to play with his upstairs toys...and im eating ice cream lol..he got it stuck in my head and i couldnt help myself..i have to finish it before he comes back and finds me out haha
Re: am i mean??? NBR
Yup...you're pretty mean...call him downstairs and at least share the ice cream with him.
LOL
LOL, get it down quick.
I try not to let my stepsons snack between meals. If they are absolutely hungry then I will get something healthy out. But with this pregnancy every time I put anything in my mouth they are right there with their hands out, how can I tell them no when I am snacking?
This!
i seriously thought about this haha, but then he'll think me saying no meant nothing
From a 4 year old's perspective, yes, you are incredibly mean.
From your perspective, no. The baby needs its calcium.
Nope! You already said no, so you have to stick to your guns. Plus, you said he could have some after dinner if he eats well, so he still has a chance.
But you need to snack to nourish the baby!! What's their excuse? Growing boys I suppose, lol.
This. It always irritated me when I worked for a daycare who wouldn't allow the teachers to eat or drink anything in front of the kids that they weren't given as well. Umm.... I'm an adult. They are 4. They don't care that I'm drinking a coke and eating a burger and if they do they need to understand that kids can't have everything adults can.
