I am going for my first u/s tomorrow and for some reason I have this overwhelming feeling/nervousness that it's more than 1 baby in there. DS is 22 months now and I don't ever remember having this feeling when I was pg with him and I didn't get a u/s with him until 12wks.
Just wondering if you ladies 'knew' before you actually found out via u/s. I am just getting myself all freaked for no reason I'm sure.

I absolutely had a feeling. I don't even know how to explain it, but I just knew. The night before my first U/S, I was googling "twin pregnancy symptoms" and I had them all!
I was SO sick so early on and my hormones were out of control!
I even said to the OB before she started the scan "As long as there is just one in there, I'll be ok"
Guess what??? lol
This.
Same for us.
Twins maybe, we put 2 embryos back. Never in a millions years did we ever think quads.
To be honest I never thought both stuck I really thought we were having a singleton.
I would like to think that I did but I don't think so. In fact, I was really wrong, because I had dreams that I was having triplets, two girls and a boy. I think it was because my brother-in-law was teasing me about it. In the dream I was frantically running around trying to take care of three babies and doing so VERY unsuccessfully.
Then a few weeks later I found out I was having identical twins and I was in complete and udder shock. At about 19 weeks I found out they were girls. Then I started to worry. I still worry occasionally that I will walk in and they will tell me that there is a third in there, but I know that this is near impossible. (Doesn't mean that my irrational fears don't stop).
To all of you triplet mommies out there I have to say that I am VERY impressed by you.
Never crossed my mind. We found out at 11w during an NT scan.
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
the chances of this (identical triplets, and a fraternal twin) even with a blastocyst transfer/placement is still uncommon. Especially the triplets... i don't know what the percentage is but you must feel very unique and PROUD!
I had no clue whatsover. Nothing they said would have shocked me more. I got a scan at 13/14 weeks b/c of spotting (I had a low lying placenta it turned out, that has now corrected itself). I was preparing myself for hearing that I was miscarrying....not that I was having two babies.
Me too. I kept telling DH that "what if we have twins, I have this feeling" then we brushed it off since we don't have any twins in our families and then I told my mom the same thing the day of my u/s and she laughed. She told me to be sure that I tell her that it's "only one!!" when we return from the u/s....what a shocker. We still can't believe it and I keep looking at my u/s pics! Totally spontaneous for us!
