What is your favorite thing about your city? Lots! The university, the sense of community, college football, the weather, how clean and safe it is...

What is your favorite thing about your home? our front porch! We have a great, huge front porch with rocking chairs and a swing and we have great neighbors and people just always seem to end up hanging out on our porch relaxing...in sterotypical southern fashion
What do you like least about your home? our backyard..actually, I love our backyard, it is huge, totally fenced in and beautifully landscaped but that landscaping is a pain in the butt to keep up and DH never wants to hire a gardener because he "enjoys" doing it..but he never has time to do it.
Would you ever live on a house boat? sure, why not?

What is your favorite thing about your city?hmmmm.....relatively safe/friendly. Good school systems. Mostly, in the fall, this is the best place to live, at least to us! Go tigers!!! I would love to live in Miami or somewhere during the rest of the year. But the fall, we have to be here.
What do you like least about your city? Even though it has grown A TON, how small it still is. I HATE how we lack diverse restaurants. And our "mall" sucks. We never even go there.
Do you live in a house/townhome/apartment/ect? We own our own home (new construction)
What is your favorite thing about your home? Probably our front and back yard. The back yard is huge and fenced in and I love our garden in the front.
What do you like least about your home? Carpeting. We want to put in hardwoods.

sure. they are a little claustrophobic, but I've spent some time on them, so I think I could handle it.

What is your favorite thing about your city? Lots to see/do, easy to get to other places (3 airports close by, can walk to the Metro)
What do you like least about your city? Traffic. I'd rather live IN the district and never use a car but we can't afford that, and my commute would be hell.

What do you like least about your home? That we can't afford to own a house....cost of living here is ridiculous. Also, I like that it's an old house but the interior needs some SERIOUS updating!

What do you like least about your home? If I sat out on the deck, our neighbors are right next to us so there's a lack of privacy. And there's no yard.

My husband would love this. He's a traveler in his mind but he loves being home. I'm unsure if I'll like it unless we traveled and docked at various islands a few months at a time.

What city/state do you live in? Whitefish Bay, WI (Milwaukee suburb)
What is your favorite thing about your city? Most of my family and friends are here in WFB or adjacent suburbs. Whitefish Bay is a great suburb right along Lake Michigan with a very old, small town feel but just minutes from downtown.
What do you like least about your city? Cold weather. I can handle snow, but despise the bitter below zero cold.

What is your favorite thing about your home? 3 seasons room
What do you like least about your home? Basement. Hopefully it will be a rec room before the end of the year.

What is your favorite thing about your city? It has a small town feel but yet we are close enough to San Francisco that we can have that "big city" experience.
What do you like least about your city? Tons of deer and no fences, so it has been impossible for me to try to get a green thumb. I get discouraged with deer eating everything in site and I don't have patience. I know it takes research to find the right plants but that's too much work for now.

What is your favorite thing about your home? We live on a hill and don't have any back neighbors. We have a ton of privacy since the next door neighbors houses are spread apart and at different levels. We face a mountain that is beautiful to watch the sunset.
What do you like least about your home? SMALL masterbath. This has become a bigger and bigger issue for me. I hate to share the sink with DH. Our next big project will probably to gut that out and re-do it.
Would you ever live on a house boat?
Possibly, but it would depend on the size...and how often we could dock to explore other places. If it was just docked and we lived our day to day lives there and left the boat to go to work, grocery shop etc....probably not.

Proximity to lots of cool things: 1 hour from Boston, 3 hours from NYC, gorgeous coastline...I could go on & on.

What is your favorite thing about your city? Well kept up, excellent public schools, variety of restaurants close by, low crime rate
What do you like least about your city? Traffic due to poor city planning: two lane roads that support enough traffic to warrant a 4 lane road. And the fact I am constantly reminded that I live in a red state. My northern California opinions are kept on the back burner here.

What is your favorite thing about your home? The overall look of it (it has some unusual features), and the moldings. The first owner built the house as a custom home, and went uber-nuts with the moldings. There is even double crown molding in the closets!
What do you like least about your home? The size. I'm too cheap to get a maid on a regular bais (each time they come, they want $300!!), but it's too big to clean and maintain properly while working full time. I wouldn't mind downsizing.
Would you ever live on a house boat? Sure, I love boats and the boating lifestyle. Not to mention, there are some kick-azz houseboats out there!
