weight gain at 9 weeks?

I haven't been able to go to the Dr yet because of an insurance prob (that should be fixed in the nexxt 10 days) but yesterday I went to the health dept and I have gained 13 lbs!!!! I havent had it confirmed I am having twins but the thought entered my head the min I found out I was preg and I havent been able to shake it. This is my 4th preg and I have NEVER gained weight like this before, maybe it's a fluke but I'm just wondering what some of your weight gains were around this time since you are having twins...

I've actually lost 10lbs due to the m/s.  I don't think weight gain is a real sign that there are twins in there.

another reason i was floored by the scale i havent been able to eat anything other than toast and crackers for two weeks due to m/s... i'm prob just being paranoid

I didn't weigh myself when I got my BFP so I can't be positive, but I'm pretty sure I didn't gain an ounce during that time period. I was lucky to keep saltines down.

At 9 weeks I was up 4lbs.  I suspect this was more bloat than baby.

I had no m/s and ate like maniac.  But my friend who is preg with a singleton gained a lot more weight than I did up front.

I doubt weight gain and single vs. multiples are correlated.  I'm up 4 lbs.

Maybe 2 or 3 lbs.  I've only gained about 12 lbs so far and it's not out of a lack of trying.

Weight gain that early doesn't mean anything.  I lost weight until I was around 16w or so.  The baby(ies) would be so small, there's no way they could influence your weight like that.

At that point my weight fluctuated by only a couple pounds due to bloat and constipation.  I didn't gain real weight until 15 weeks or so

I started seeing the Perinatologist at 10 weeks and I was up 5 pounds.  I gained 20 pounds by 20 weeks.

Same as most of the others.  I had such terrible morning sickness that I lost 5lbs during the first 12 weeks.

Weight gain and morning sickness are not rock solid indicators of a multiple pregnancy. At 9 weeks I was only up 1lb and I haven't had ANY morning sickness/nausea.

I did not have horrible morning sickness and at that point, I was down 2 lbs.  i continued losing until 14 weeks.
