My mother in law just sent me a picture message on my phone of a newborn baby, like 2 minutes out of the womb. and it says all the baby stats. Whose baby is this? Why did she send it to me? GRRRR, thanks a lot!

p.s. she doesnt know about our IF so there is no way she would have known not to send it. I am not mad at her.... i just didnt wanna see it =(

Yes, it is her BEST FRIENDS new grandson.... shes is a first time grandmother and my MIL was just glowing because he friend is now a grandmother. It broke my heart to see how excited she was and think there is a chance that she will never be a grandmother =(

My MIL is the same way ... minus the cell phone pics (because she wouldn't know how to take a picture with her cell, let alone how to send it!).. but she's like doting "fairy grandmother" to her best friend's grandsons... CONSTANTLY talking about them to DH and I even when her BF isn't around.... drives me NUTS.. 

I try and make myself feel better about it all by saying she'll be even more beside herself happy once...if DH and I ever have kids (esp. cuz DH is an only child).

 

It sucks.. Hope the rest of your day wasn't as gloomy.
