TSH Is Too High :(

My TSH has been between 3ish and .4 on 125mg Synthroid since July. I had it checked by my RE in late Jan and it was .4 so they left it, but he wanted me to see a regular endo. When I couldn't get in to see one until late April RE said that was fine. I know they only check TSH every 3 months anyway if it's regulated - I guess considering I've been on the same dose since July they felt it was fairly regulated. I finally saw the endo yesterday and my TSH came back yesterday at 3.4, so they're increasing me to 137mcg. I asked the endo if this was a concern considering I just had my transfer and she said no...that if I was hypo she'd be increasing it a lot more. It's always something though. Hopefully this isn't too big a deal...

  • I hope you don't mind me replying. When I was 4 weeks pg I found out my thyroid was 5.6. Since then, I have been on 100mg of Synthroid and now all is fine and regulated. I'm sure you'll be fine since you caught it so early. Good luck!

  • I believe each RE could be different because I had my TSH levels back at 3.66 which was in the high normal range anything closer to 4.5-5 would be caution to be on meds but my Free T4 (which gives better clarification i guess) came back at 0.86 (i think) which that was defiantly in the normal range. RE said that yes the TSH could be wearing down but he did not put me on synthroid yet but I could expect it as I get older & just to watch it. I just had this discussion at my WTF appt on friday. Wishing you luck.
