Hi Ladies! I have read a lot of information regarding morning sickness and I know that it comes and goes in waves. According to my calculations I am 6 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness started at week 4 and for some odd reason the last two days I feel nothing. I am definitely not complaining but I am trying to make sense of this. All Friday and Saturday I was lying in bed sick to my stomach and sunday I was at the park playing frisbee. Is this normal?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. ![]()
Re: Morning Sickness in Waves
This is exactly me! I was so sick Fri-Sun (even called in sick on Fri), and then yesterday and today I feel fine!
I'm an anxious person by nature, I'm sure it's all fine, but I called the triage nurses at my OB's office and they're running my HCG levels for tomorrow (I had a bunch of blood drawn yesterday). Hopefully this will help my anxiety
But this was her response to me.
It is possible to go through waves of feeling good and feeling not so good during the first trimester. It may be that you are getting over the worst part.
I called in sick on Friday as well! Wow, looks like we have the anxiety thing in common as well. Its hard to just not worry about whats happening to your body and of course we all want to make sure that we are doing everything correctly.
I havent seen my dr yet, my first appointment is April 30th. I am worried now that maybe I should call my dr too? Is this your first Dr appointment? Also whats the reasoning behind them running your HCG levels?
Hmm getting over the worst part...so does that mean that some women only experience m/s for a few weeks and thats it? If so that is great!!! lol
I don't think you need to call your Dr., but if it will make you feel better, do it. No question is stupid! They just want to check my HCG to make sure the #'s are where they should be at this point in my pregnancy. But they don't normally do it. They had just taken my blood yesterday, so they were able to order the test. My ultrasound isn't until May 4!
But, it sounds like disappearing m/s is common!!
