I hope to have them sent out within the first month of baby's birth. I hope to get the envelopes early, so I can start addressing them before baby is here, though.
Absolutely. I'm a graphic designer and I've had about fifty different designs in my head. The hard part will be narrowing it down. I'd like to get them mailed out within six weeks of the birth.
Yes, we're planning on sending them out 1-2 weeks after birth, depending on how quickly they get delivered to us and how long it takes me to get them together.
Eh. Not sure if we will or not. Everyone that we will want to know about the birth will know when I go into labor. So it seems kind of pointless to send them one when they will have probably already held the baby.
I've been looking at Tiny Prints too.. you can save your designs so that way you can go back later and add/take away and then order them pretty quick. I'll have some saved with his name, our name, etc and then just fill in the birth stuff. I think we have to have our baptism a month after his birth so I guess I have to do it all pretty quick!
yes, we did with # 1 and will this time around. I already put together a list of the ones I like, just need to narrow it down and after we have our newborn shoot then order them.

Yes. The person taking our newborn photos is also a graphic designer and includes custom announcements in her package. I hope to have them out within a month.

This Im enlisting a friend to help me, we have a lot of family out of the country and state so a TON of them will be going out and I will need help with the 200+ announcements
In our hospital they have an Our365 photo studio. The day after you deliver, they come by your room and give you a sample packet of photo gifts and announcements that you can order. I chose to order announcements from them for my DS and will do the same for this LO.
I believe they took about 10-14 days to arrive after DS's birth. People love to see your LO so I'd recommend sending them out!
Yes, i will send them out. I sent them out with the first 2 - right around 3-4 weeks...and plan on doing the same with this one. I found some really good deals on ebay suprisingly too. I did mail & email.
Sawyer Quinn (09/06/06), Rory Keaton (04/07/08) and Kinsley Saffron (10/12/10). Forever and ever my babies they'll be. A rose can say "I love you",orchids can enthrall, but a weed bouquet in a chubby fist, yes, that says it all.~Author Unknown
I'd be curious to see clicky poll results on this.
I'm not sure if we will or not. I'm not very good on following through on things like this--hence why I don't send Christmas cards. I'm the weirdo who would buy them and then not send them because I couldn't find some addresses. LOL
Absolutely we'll be sending out announcements! We did for DD and we sent them out exactly 4 weeks after she was born. I got the envelopes early and already had them pre-addressed; that helped a ton!
I am definitely doing this. I create my own invitations, announcements, etc. So I already have the paper and design laid out. Just need to fill in the details and add a picture and they'll be ready to go!
My mom designed her own birth announcements for me and I'd like to try that as well. I don't know if mine will turn out as good as hers, but I'll give it a shot!
I am designing my own on our CS4 program and then leaving a place for the information. Then sending it to our print company. I want to have it done and ready for us to just drop in the info and pic and print fast. We'll see if the plan happens
Re: Will you be sending out birth announcements?
Yep. Hopefully within a few weeks of her birth.
I'm looking mainly at Tiny Prints. I want to get one that matches her nursery colors so I can keep one to frame and hang on her wall.
Yes. We got them out when PJ was close to a month old. We used a picture we took because the pictures from the hospital were ridiculously expensive.
We got them from an offshoot site from BRU's website. We really loved them.
That is exactly what I am doing too - and where I am looking right now!!

That is such a good idea, I think I am going to steal it.

I haven't decided if we'll do birth announcements or just include info in the Christmas card.
I sent DS's announcements out oh, 2 days after we came home. I don't think I'll have the time or energy do do it that quickly this time though!
