We went to good ole Walmart and they were $20 for both panels for the size window we needed. I had been talking about doing this for a while and it has bought us almost 2 hours of extra sleep with DS.
we don't have actual "darkening shades" in ds's room, but he has the faux wood blinds as well as navy curtains. with the blinds and shades closed it is VERY dark in there.
We have room darkening honeycomb shades. DH hates shades and I hate blinds, so we went with these as a compromise. They pull down like a shade but have little ridges like blinds from being folded.
We have an old house and not a single window in it is anything approaching a standard size, so we had them made. blinds.com or something like that.
Re: Anyone use room darkening shades?
We just bought one to install tonight.
Got it at Home Depot.
How much do they go for?
