I do my basic pot roast which I think is yummy...DH likes it too.
1 2lb pot roast 1 tbsp oil 1 pkg french onion soup mix 3/4 cup water
Heat oil in heavy skillet until hot. Sear roast on all sides until good and browned. Put in crock pot. Add mix and water. Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and biscuits (drool).
throw in some potatoes and carrots to the above recipe and you have a complete meal....you can still mash the tators if you want to.

My favorite verse!
I do either pork tenderloin (low for 6 hrs) or Chicken (low for 3 hrs)...then shred and mix with BBQ and other seasonings (I do jerk, pepper, crushed red pepper usually).
Salt and pepper a beef brisket (trim excess fat first), shake a little bit of liquid smoke on it and rub a couple cloves of fresh minced garlic into the meat. Wrap tightly in foil and cook on low all day. Don't add any water or liquids- just put the wrapped brisket straight into the crockpot and let it roast. Great eaten sliced or shred with two forks and serve with BBQ sauce on buns.
Our favorite is post roast too. All I do is throw in a rump roast, potatoes and carrots with a bottle of Italian dressing. So yummy! DS eats it like a mad man too!

Ditto pp - I throw in a pork shoulder and a little water for 8-10 hours then shred and add BBQ sauce (from a jar) and serve on buns.
Then there's always this beef stew (Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew). More work but soooooo good.
