I didn't need a thing. They knew I was carrying an infant on my lap but I was never asked for any ID for her or to confirm that I was a parent/guardian. Scary shiit if you ask me.
When I flew with my older daughter I was informed that anyone under 18 did not need ID to travel domestically. They don't even check that you are legally allowed to take the child on the plane because it would be too difficult to verify (even if you are a parent with the birth certificate you could be running from a custody issue).
we had to have something that said her birthdate-we had our insurance fax a thing over to them (the check in lady was being a pita). this week i'll just have a copy of her birth cert to make it easy.

When I booked my flight and informed them of dd riding on my lap, they specifically told me to have her birth certificate along. I was never asked to show it during our trip, but had it along in the event that they needed it. Can't think of anything else that you would need though
