My lower back is really sore today and I'd love to go curl up in bed with my heating pad, but I know I've heard that heating pads are not ok during pregnancy, at least in the first trimester. I did some googling and most resources I found seem to suggest that it is ok, but I was wondering for those of you who have already had doctor's appointments whether the doc said anything about heating pads and whether they are safe. Thanks in advance ladies!

Re: heating pad ok?
I haven't been to the doc this time, but this is what I was told last time.

hmmm... well, since the part of my back that hurts is my lower back and that is just the other side of my abdomen, I guess I'll play it safe and avoid the heating pad for now. : (
Thanks ladies!
