I do too - I get about 15 times - i think my mind doesn't help much either. It's really driving me nuts - i'm starting to dread going to bed although I'm beat.
drink lots of water.. and also, when you get your blood drawn for your glucose test, make sure you're checked for anemia. rls becomes more prominent with anemia.
darn, i just realized you're still just 20 weeks. bring it up at your next OB appt! hopefully they can get you tested for it sooner so you could get on iron pills and it becomes less stressful to deal with!
I've had restless leg for years, it's especially bad during stressful times for me, so relaxation techniques have helped me the most. I've read and experienced that Benadryl can actually aggravate the symptoms, so I wouldn't recommend it at all. My best advice - try to keep your legs active during the day and evening hours. Mine is worse when I do nothing but sit on my butt all day, so walk around, stretch, anything to have good blood flow to your legs while you are awake. Also, for me sleeping on my back is very bad for leg twitches and the feeling of wanting to run/kick. If I sleep on my side, especially with one leg slightly elevated (pillow between knees) it helps a little bit. If I can think of anything else I've read/tried I'll update.
