Hi! I am 11 weeks pregnant and am almost in my 2nd Tri this is my frist pregnancy. My husband and I were married on Nov 14. I was just wondering what has everyone gone though in their second tri. For me right now the nausea and heartburn are a killer. I was told that this goes away but I am a little skeptical about it.
Any advice?
Re: Almost in the 2nd tri..
Take some tums for the heartburn.. i used seabands and drank flat gingerale and sucked on jolly ranchers for m/s.
as for 2nd trimester. I have growing pains ( stretching belly ) RLP, very gassy ( makes my belly hurt sometimes LOL ), Some exhaustion ( depends on the day), increase in urination, im eating more now that m/s is gone, uhhhh Im trying to think.
All in all 2nd tri is heaven compared to 1st. Soon enough you will be here!
For me the m/s slowly (very very slowly) eased off...I had to be on meds for a while because the vomiting was causing a drastic drop in my weight...but after a while it got easier to manage and as long as I had something dry to munch on (cereal) or some grapes I was ok.
I had growing pains as well...it was either as bad as period cramps to barely noticable cramps. It all depends on the day. Just on the days where the cramps are really bad, try to take it easy and put your feet up.
My appetite is also increasing now that the m/s eased off
2 tri is so much better than 1st tri. I'd rather deal with growing pains that vomiting any day.
I sucked on dum dums in the first tri, they really helped my tummy but my morning sickness was almost non existent.
So far it's been finding clothes that aren't horrid. I'm tall and pants never fit right and I'm either to big or to small for shirts. I guess I shouldn't complain about that though, it's not that big of a deal. Not peeing 3x a night has been a god send.
You'll wake up one morning and just realize, hey I'm not sick and I just feel better. It doesn't seem like it but it will come.
ETA: My tailbone hurts. Not one of my friends told me that my tailbone would start hurting around 12 weeks becuase your hips widen. It feels like you broke it and there isn't much you can do for it if you have a desk job. Walking helps but isn't a cure. I sit on a pillow at work.
