Babies: 9 - 12 Months

waking up earlier and earlier

Jack has been sleeping through the night (7:30-6am) Lately he has been waking up earlier and earlier each morning..today it was 4am!!!

What can we do to stop this?

  • Have you fed him any different?  maybe give extra oz at last bottle

  • try putting him to bed a little later?

  • He may be worried that you are going to put him in a car with no carseat again.  Just a thought...

    No child endangerment charge if your DH is only driving 2 minutes and your dad sits in the back seat and holds the baby.  DUH!

  • We gave him more food and tried to put to bed later, but he is sooo tired.  Could it be that he is overtired?

  • DD was doing that for a while around 5 months for some reason.  She would go down around 630 and wake around 5am and stay awake even if I fed her.  After a while I tried just feeding her when she would wake at that time and lay her back in her crib whether she feel asleep or not.  It could be your LO just wants to play.  It was worse then, but it gotten better now and she goes down at 730 and is up around 630-7.  The only reason for a later bedtime was the timechange.
