Changing crib sheets= breaking into a sweat

Am I the only one who finds changing cribs sheets to be incredibly difficult? ?I always think to myself that their has to be an easier way. ?

I keep the bumper on, pull out the?mattress, slip on the sheet and attempt to put the mattress back in under the bumper. ?

I could untie the bumper but then I would have to retie each string and with our crib being a sleigh crib its a total PITA. It would not solve the issue of having to pull the mattress out to get the sheet back on. ?

Me: 30, DOR with a FSH of 12.5
DH: 31, no issues

  • lol...I thought I was the only one who had to remove part of the bumpers and yank the whole mattress out of the crib just to get the sheet off.  It's really crammed in there.
  • I gave up trying to keep the bumper on while changing the sheets a long time ago.

I feel like it's actually easier to take it off and put it back on than to try to work around it.

It is a royal PITA huh?  Who knew?!

  • I dont have bumpers on their cribs but still find it to be a pain to change.  And now that the mattress is all the way down, it is even harder.  And yeah, I feel like I get a workout trying to change their sheets.

  • My most dreaded baby duty is changing crib sheets. I HATE it.
  • Yeah it sucks. I broke a fingernail trying to get the mattress out from underneath the bumper over the weekend.

  •   Yeah, it sucks.  And Nora still spits up a bunch, so I have to do it a few times a week.  ::sigh::  I'm thinking of getting a few of those snap-on crib sheets that go over the fitted sheet, so I can change them out easier.  Now that she's on solids, the spit-ups are different colors, so it's way gross...
  • It sucks. But I find that the cotton knit (the t-shirt) sheets are MUCH more stretchy and easier to change. And they are cozier too.
  • I use these. It has revolutionized my world because I don't have to change the entire sheet if she just messes up the top in between whole sheet changes.

  • I make DH do it. Now that her mattress is lowered it's too hard for me to do since I'm so short.
