It's time to get DD 12m pjs since the 9m are too short. We usually use one piece (button) pjs but now I'm wondering if I should buy her two piece instead. She usually outgrows her pjs by length first because she's long. Told you it was random
I would go with 2 piece...without the footies. It will be warm enough for bare feet in bed, soon. Then, even if she gets too long for the jammies, but they still fit weight-wise, you can just let them be capris!
I have both 1 and 2 piece for DS. The one piece are nice to keep him warm but I buy then in 18 month since he is so long. The 2 piece I have to buy in 12 month to fit his waist. If you don't plan on reuing the one piece for another baby you can cut the feet off. My mom use to do this. I don't since I plan on more kids and keep all their clothes.

I bought DD two piece jammies for the summer. She is also long and always outgrows length first and I figure if they become capris over the course of the summer, it really won't matter. Also, I'm figuring in a few more months she will be walking, so the two piece jammies are like big girl jammies!
We got 2 piece as well. I needed 9 mo though. I found some on sale at Baby Gap and they have size 6-12 months. I love how they fit her and still have room.
