And now I LOATHE it and the surround sound that my husband has it hooked up to. The insane bass from the explosions can be heard on the 3rd floor of my house and he's playing it in the basement. Ugh, boy toys are annoying!
I feel your pain. A while back DH got Halo 3: ODST and while I was at work he hooked up the extra TV and the XBox in THE BEDROOM so he could play it in there. I hate TV's in the bedroom. I hate the XBox in there even more. Helicopters! Grenades! Gunfire! Men are fun.
Yep, I made that mistake at Christmas...is he playing online yet? Silly me, i thought once he beat it he would be done with it. I didnt even think about him playing online!!! (woah, that makes him sound like a dweeb!)
yep..I feel your pain too...DH has it for xbox360 and plays with his friends and on top of the gunshots and explosions he yells with his friends about "the enemies position"...it gets old..FAST...
Ohhh my GOD I hate that game with a fiery passion! The explosions, gun shots and creepy music all but give me anxiety. DH did just get new headphones that he thinks are "so cool because you can hear footsteps behind you .. bla bla bla" - I think they're "so cool" because I can't hear ANY of the game anymore!
Yeah I don't buy my husband those kind of video games anymore unless I want to play them with him. But on the bright side, he won't really have time to play them after the baby comes, so just a few more months
For his next birthday, he got a wireless headphone setup.
I really just can't listen to any game with a soundtrack that is predominantly gunfire/screaming. I've gotten more sensitive to it since I got pregnant. I find it really upsetting to hear screams of pain for 3+ hours at a time.
My DH plays that a lot too. He bought this really awesome Turtle Beach surround sound headset that is AMAZING.. like he can literally hear when someone is sneaking up behind him. The best part? I don't have to listen to it. lol

on an unrelated note... I LOVE COD2! play it all the time with SO and he doesn't like playing with me anymore because I'm better than him now, I joke that it is because I have LO helping me out. Its fun to feel LO kick when im getting all these wicked headshots.. BOOM! headshot!
DH does not like first person shooters like the war games. However, he has been playing the God of War series and I am so tired of the the screams of mythical creatures being killed. Then if I don't watch the cut scenes with him or if he's trying to do a "cool" trick or something he gets his feelings hurt. I swear at times he is just like a kid. "Mommy look, mommy look, mommy your not looking"
Oh well at least he has fun and can relax on his days off.
Re: I made the mistake of buying DH Call of Duty for PS3
This happened to me too.
