DD will be 11 mos tomorrow! We try more new things every week. She eats a ton of fruit--soft fruit like kiwi, watermelon, canteloupe, really ripe pears, bananas. She also likes to suck on mango too.
As for grains, she eats cheerios, puffs, toast, and rice. She LOVES rice. Sometimes I mix both white and brown together. It's messy but she eats it up like crazy.
She eats well-cooked frozen veggies or veggies from canned soups. Baked sweet potato is a new thing we're trying. We give her beans too and she likes almost any kind of bean. Good thing because she will not eat meat at all so I need to find ways for her to get protein and iron.
I believe 1 yr is the recommended time...however, LO's babysitter said that many babies are still sensitive to cow's milk even after they turn 1. She said another little boy in her daycare just started drinking cow's milk and he has bad gas issues now. So I don't know...I'll start her on it as soon as she is weaned from formula (HOPEFULLY by the time she is 13 months) and pray that she takes it well.
