The past 3-4 days she's decided that naps will be short, sporadic, and whenever or wherever she chooses.
She used to have a pretty set schedule with 2 three hour naps each day. Now she's getting cranky at weird times, napping for 30 minutes and then wake up chattering, only to fall asleep 2 minutes later and wake up 20 minutes later.
But then again, she's not one to do things the usual way.
Re: What's a nap?
It really depends. They only need between 14-15 hours of sleep total. As DS started sleeping longer at night, his naps got shorter.
He sleeps for about 12 hours at night, and only naps about 2-2.5 hours total during the day.
He used to take much longer naps, but he also slept less at night.
