Well.... I'm assuming you mean smoking it, haha, because I don't think the existence of a plant is wrong. But do you mean do I think it's WRONG, or do I think it should be ILLEGAL? Because I have two different answers.
last time (which was the 1st time) i smoked i ended up hiding between my mattress and box spring in my dorm room not wanting to look at my tv because it was a big bright light and i thought i was dying and going to see Jesus.....

I don't smoke and have only smoked once in my life. But I think it should be decriminalized.
The resources spent to try to catch and convict people on pot charges are outrageous, when in reality, the drug is not all that dangerous. Especially compared to alcohol which is completely legal for of-age adults.
But that's just my 2 cents.
ETA: Regulate pot like tobacco, put a 500% sales tax on it, and let's earn some of that "War on Drugs" money back.

me and MJ aren't friends.
Hahaha! I had to laugh at this story. Me, not a fan of it, have tried it and don't like it.
I dont like pot or those that support it..I mean I have friends that do smoke pot and whatever but dont bring it around me or talk about it.. Most pot smokers I've met are seriously stupid..
I have one friend thats all pro pot and loves to throw out statistics and how it SHOULD be legal and why and tries to shove facts down my throat..its illegal for a reason.. They legalized tobacco at some point and alcohol and we see how well each of those has done.. Pass..
ETA: (A lot of my posts have edits..anyway! I tried it once in middle school and all it did was make me sleepy..I dont understand the "Awesomeness" maybe I did it wrong..not doing it again"
Personally I don't mind pot. However, it has a time and a place and that's before your a parent. Now that LO is coming I've giving up a lot of my bad teenage habits (not saying I was a pot head or anything, I personally don't mind it but I find people who do it stupid), I don't want kids around that kind of stuff. Besides that I'm extremely anti-drug. However, do I think it's should be illegal? No. My reasoning is this. I have a ton of friends that are some hardcore pot smokers and all they do is laugh at dumb things and eat. I've never seen one of them try to drive once! Alcohol on the other hand, makes people wanna go drive (if they are stupid enough). I just think it's less evasive than booze, but what ev. I do not approve of it once your a parent. Then you really are an idiot!
I don't smoke it but, to each their own. I'd like to hope that once someone becomes a parent that it's out of their system so, they can be a good role model to their children.

I see nothing wrong with it...I don't do it... but if it floats your boat. As long as it isn't infringing on me or harming me in any way. It's sure is better for you than tobacco or alcohol. As pp said, make it legal and tax the crap out of it. There are so many people in jail for possession of it. I think that those resources could go to hunt more important people, like child molestors, rapists or murderers.
Anyhoo....it would have been legal had Dupont not saw hemp as such a competition to his empire, so the smear campaign began. Propaganda is a bitc*.

The only regular pot smoker I know, was abusive to his wife and children. He drove constantly under the influence of pot and constantly punctuated every sentence with "oh yeah...." He's my ex-BIL. So, I'm not really a fan. But.......really, just like alcohol, moderation, moderation, moderation. I don't really have an opinion on whether it should be legal or not. If it were to be legalized, well, then it should probably be regulated, as well. I suppose that's my only opinion.
I've tried it & I have come to the conclusion that it is not my thing... AT ALL!! I hate the way it made me feel.. Useless and dumb... To each their own...
I think my view is much more conservative than most. I work in a juvenile jail and see/hear about a lot of consequences for young people who decide to use it. I hope it remains illegal and actually hope our laws regarding marijuana become stricter.
I used to use it recreationally. Gave it up when I married a teacher. I would hate to see my actions hurt his career, as slim as the chances are that I would ever get caught. Now with a LO on the way, I wouldn't even be tempted to smoke again. 1)Its illegal 2) I wouldn't want to be in that state of mind and find out that my child got sick or injured while mommy was partying and not be able to think rationally. The same goes for alcohol. I don't see myself having more than a couple of drinks until my kiddo is out of the house! My parents both drink(and SMOKE weed! just recently found that out!) and I have never seen either of them drunk or high. I don't judge anyone who does, as long as it doesn't affect their parenting. I am a bar manager and its disgusting how many ppl get drunk around their kids or get drunk and go pick up their kids or go to sporting events.
It is not my thing but I do not think it is any worse than alcohol.
This.
I don't think drinking around your kids (even a glass of wine in some cases) is usually appropriate but a toke is no different than a drink once the kids are in bed. In moderation, it's fine. Alcohol is more dangerous. Too much MJ and you will... fall asleep. Alcohol poisoning isn't uncommon, not to mention chances of aspirating if you pass out vomiting. Marijuana has true medicinal properties but none of the downsides of narcotics (as far as organ damage and risks of abuse).
It definitely shouldn't be illegal. To the person who said they've seen consequences of marijuana, I am sure those teens would have had the same problems even if weed didn't exist. They would have done coke instead or downed a bottle of vodka, or even gotten into trouble sober. Yes, marijuana makes lazy people lazier (I've seen it), but just like everyone who drinks isn't an alcoholic, everyone who smokes isn't a skeevy pothead.
I'm not sure what to say to people who don't believe in things just because they're illegal. A lot of awful things in history have been legal and vice versa. Alcohol was illegal at one time. I would hope you'd teach your kids to think outside the box - don't necessarily partake in illegal activities, but do question why they are illegal.

I completely agree, i don't like to smoke it but I am a fan of some of the bi products you and buy like hemp lotion and hemp clothes (from canada) and I know enough ppl who smoke it and have perfectly normal lives that its just seems nonsensical to have illegal but have alcohol and tobacco legal.

OMG I so agree with this and I don't even partake in it, but two of the smartest women I know do smoke on a daily basis, one works a full time and a part time job as a dental hygienist and the other is pulling a 4.0 in college with max credits. And I hate ppl thinking like sheep and just saying if its illegal it must be wrong, nothing would ever get changed if everybody followed that theory...
I don't support illegal actions, so definitely not. Most people I know that smoke it heavily are big losers. Since they have been using it more frequently, they have seriously became very dumb acting. I don't think anything good comes out of marijuana usage, so I am not a supporter at all.
I'm against it and never smoked it... had a friend in HS who started with that and it led to more harmful drugs, and a long road of rehab. That always stuck in my head.
Do I think it should be illegal? Probably not. I guess it's not too much different than alcohol. Just not my thing.
I have no reason to express my views on whether I have or haven't, or whether I think it should be legal or illegal. But, what I would like to say is I know several people who are extremely successful career wise and who have graduate level (or higher) degrees who smoke regularly. So, those of you who said the only people you know who smoke are "losers" or are "stupid", must not know the right people. LOL

or you know the right people and they aren't open about the fact that they smoke pot. there are plenty of successful people who (rightly) don't talk openly about getting high because, duh, it is illegal, and also, it's just a way to relax at the end of the day and not really conversation worthy. "wow, i got so high last night i watched television and ate ice cream." smart, successful people might have better things to talk about with a non-smoker, but it doesn't mean they have better things to do than smoke pot in the privacy of their own home while you might be having your glass of wine to wind down.

DH's bestfriend recently asked us if we would be interested in smoking after the baby was born. I laughed it off and said no, I can't be smoking MJ and be a mommy. That's just me personally. Later when I asked my DH about it, he was like "No, neither of us will be doing that." lol. I have nothing against it, but I think that when you have children you shouldn't do it. That's just me though. And I completely agree with the 500% sales tax and selling it legally. Haha! Who knew MJ could save the economy?

I am against both tobacco and marijuana. I have never smoked in my life and don't plan on it.
The only reason I am so against it is because of second hand smoke.
Now, if it should legal or not.. that is for the country to decide. I just agree their shouldn't be smoking in public places.
(btw: my husband smokes tobacco, and I don't mind him smoking as long as it is outside and not around me.)
