2nd Trimester

still sick at nearly 17 weeks

I still have pretty rough morning sickness!  I am throwing up about every other morning and even woke up in the middle of the night to get sick last night.  It is so frustrating.  I have tried everything (including zofran) and still feel blah.  The days I dont get physically sick I feel slightly queasy all day and the days I do get sick it just wipes me out all day.  Am I the only one still getting so sick?  I wonder since I am still getting sick if it means I will continue to the whole pregnancy.

Of course I am thrilled to be pregnant and know it will be worth it in the end, but man I am frustrated!

Re: still sick at nearly 17 weeks

  • I am almost 38 weeks and have beens sick every.single.morning since I got pregnant.  I did have a 2 week break where I thought it was over but that was short lived.   I hope you stop getting ms soon.
  • I am still sick as well. Just like you, the days I manage to skip it, I feel horrible the entire day.

I hope you get to feeling better soon :-)

  • With DD I was sick once a day for the first 21 weeks. Some people just deal with it longer. Trust me, its all worth it for a healthy baby!
  • What does my ticker say now- 23 weeks?  Yep- I'm still sick - either throwing up or just feeling it all day.  With my son, I was sick right up until the end so I don't expect it to be different with this one.  It's not fun but as someone else said, it's for a good cause.  You're not alone- there are a lot of us in the same boat as you.
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again

  • My EDD is three days after yours & I feel the same way. I also get really irritated when people ask me if I'm still getting sick all the time and I say yes and they say "shouldn't you be better by now?"... As if I somehow am choosing to feel this way.

  • I'm right there with you. I throw up if I don't have my Zofran, and even when I have my Zofran I still feel blah all the time. Last time I was sick my entire pregnancy, but my doctor thought it was due to my gall bladder (which I had taken out after pregnancy) and not really m/s. Now that I'm still so sick this time around, I'm really wondering if it was just m/s the whole time last time . . .

This is just like me with my DD I was still sick when I went into labor. I am still sick and don't forsee it ending. I hope it does for you

  • I threw up atleast 2-3 times a day up until 22 weeks. From 9 weeks to about 19 weeks, I was throwing up 8-13 times a day (separate visits to the toilet)...it sucked and Zofran give me killer migraines. Hang in there. You are not the only one. (Although, I surely thought I was the ONLY person on earth puking at 2am during my rough times. Haha)

  • I was through week 26 with ds1. Then hospitalized at 29 weeks for my gallbladder.

The next pregnancy not much at all, and this one TONS of migraines that cause migraines!

It will end at some point!

    Hang in there.

  • Aww I'm so sorry. I was sick for the entire 9 mos with DD. I would throw up every forty-five minutes without Zofran. This time, with Zofran I still throw up once or twice a week. Luckily, my yucky feeling does subside as time goes by. Hopefully that will happen for you too! Hang in there, once the baby is born you will feel awesome ins oooo many ways!
  • I'm still feeling queasy and I'm at 18 weeks now. As long as I eat every few hrs I don't throw up. Zofran worked wonders for me since week 5 up until last week. I hope the m/s eases off :)
