Any glider recommendations for tall parents?

Hi ladies, my DH and I are expecting our first child this September.  I am currently researching gliders to decide which one we'll get.

DH and I are pretty tall - I'm 6'0" and he's 6'2", so we need something that will definitely support our neck/head.

Fashion wise, I absolutely prefer one of those big comfy chair gliders that also swivel.  However, I've yet to sit in one that I think competes with the XL typical gllders -  for purposes of supporting our neck/head.  I've sat in a few at BRU, ByeBye Baby, and USA Baby.  We definitely have to pick comfort/function over fashion since we'll probably be spending several hours in the chair the next few years.

Are any of you ladies, or your DH/SO, tall and have a glider that you would recommend for tall people?

TIA!

Re: Any glider recommendations for tall parents?

  • my only rec is to not skimp on the comfort AT ALL. we went for the middle of the road glider (comfort and pricewise) and I curse that thing. I wish we would have gotten a la z boy type recliner instead of the glider.. then we could use it in our rec room once we were done with the baby use..

I actually hated it so much a few weeks back when DD wasn't sleeping that I put it on CL and said if it sold, I was getting a new one. no bites, so I am stuck with it for now..

GL, and don't settle like I did, we both wish we would have gotten something different!

sorry there's no specific chair I can recommend though! try a regular recliner/swivel la z boy-
