bra recommendations

Okay, I officially hate all of my bras right now.

I'm a pretty large-chested girl to begin with (36D) so I need something with support.  But my regular bras hurt and aren't stretchy enough (they aren't supposed to be stretchy because I like the girls to be held where they belong and not move).  I need something that will accommodate the swelling and not put too much pressure.

I have a couple of t-shirt material bras that I've been wearing around the house.  They are super comfy but not supportive enough to wear to go anywhere.  Anyone have ideas of bras that are stretchy and comfy but also supportive?  I was thinking of trying the Spanx brand bras.  Has anyone tried those?

Re: bra recommendations

  • I just went to Macy's today to get bigger and more comfortable bras. I got this bra from Bali, link below. The cups are soft rather than shaped and what I like about it is that it covers my whole breast, so there's no top part hanging out, which should be good if they get bigger. I'm a 34D so I hear you on the big side. So far so good. Macy's is also having a sale and they're 40% off right now.

  • I'm a 36D as well and I'm in love with the memory foam bras from Victoria's Secret. My normal size is starting to get a bit, well, full...but they'll be good for a while. They're soft and comfy, but very supportive with comfortable under wire. They come in up to 40DD I believe.

  • I'm going tomorrow with my mom to look for bras, she says the Spanx 'Brallelujah' bra is the best on the market.  I'll update if I find something better tomorrow!  Good luck :)
