question about double stroller....

I came across a craigslist listing for a Graco Duo Glide double stroller w/ 2 Graco infant car seats (snugride) w/ bases and accessories for $350.  It says they're in excellent condition.  This seems like a lot for a used stoller but maybe not.  What do you think??  Is this a good price since it includes everything I'll need (I think) ?

Re: question about double stroller....

  • I'm pretty sure you can get all of that NEW for $350.  My duoglider was $150, the seats (depending on pattern) are usually under 100 each and come with a base.  What accessories are they including?  You can get a base for about $40 new or find a used base on CL for far cheaper or at a MoM's sale/ consignment shop.  So basically, I'd pass.
  • That's waaaaaay to much if you ask me.  First, it's not recommended that you buy carseats used because you don't know their history - specifically whether they've been in an accident.  And Duo Gliders are only like $150 new and you should be able to find Snugrides w/bases for $100 or under each.  I'd compare with new, if I were you.

  • I think the accessories are just the infant neck support and anything else they originally came with.
  • This is what I was thinking too but wanted to check with you ladies in case I was missing something!  Thanks!
  • Definitely not missing anything.  They are definitely asking way too much for that stuff, since they are pricing it new.  The head/neck things don't make it worth that much.  You can actually get that stuff cheaper, most places offer a multiples discount on the larger baby gear, like carseats.  It's usually around 10-15% and you can stack coupons on top of that.  I know BRU has it, as does Buy Buy Baby and I think Burlington.  AlbeeBaby is a great online store for finding great stroller and carseat deals, too.

  • Yeah, that sounds like a total ripoff. That should be under $150 for all that. I really would recommend getting your carseats new; some of the patterns are only $70--something from what I remember. I got ours at BRU for 35% off by stacking discounts (multiples and registry completion) with a 20% off coupon and a 15% off coupon. I see used Duogliders on my local CL for $50-65.
