Dentist office vent

I had a dentist appointment scheduled for yesterday afternoon.  I had recieved the reminder phone call, and gotten my postcard in the mail. 

I got to the office, only to have the very rude receptionist tell me I didn't have an appointment scheduled.   I showed her my reminder card, and even showed her in my cell phone where they had called me the day before to verify my appointment.  She continued to argue with me that I was wrong, so I played the voice mail that she herself left on my phone.  She still kept trying to argue with me and tell me I was wrong, that I had my dates mixed up. 

I told her that between a postcard and the phone call, she was the one who had messed up, and that I wasn't leaving.  I had already taken time off work, and wasn't taking more time just because she made a mistake. 

She never admitted her mistake, but did pull my file so I could be seen yesterday.  I can't figure out how everyone else in the office can be so nice, and she is always so rude to everyone.

  • I can't stand when people who work in customer service (of any kind), are rude and can't admit mistakes.  Good for you for standing your ground!
