I have just scheduled my first appointments and found out that I won't be having an u/s until 12 weeks. Is this normal? It seems so far away!! I see all of these posts about hearing heartbeats at 6 ish weeks. . . Is anyone else having to wait until 12 weeks? They did give me an appointment on May 25th to have bloodwork and to meet with a nurse.

It is just so hard to wait!! I have symptoms that can't be missed but I just want them to tell me that all is ok

Very normal.

I'll be seen a little earlier (8 weeks) but that's my doctor's SOP. I've even had a previous loss and they still won't see me any earlier than that for anything, not even b/w.

I think that is the norm.  I get in at 8 weeks but I was on fetility meds and I also have had 2 m/c in the past.  It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one crawling walls waiting for the date of the ultrasound to come.
