Silly DH (re: due date)

So at first I thought my due date was Dec 4th (based off my chart, but I did have a 2 temps missing around my O date)

Yesterday the Dr. gave me a due date of Dec 6th after doing the u/s.

When we were walking back to the car after the appt was over I commented about the change in due date and DH says:

"I'm totally freaked out now becuase what if the baby comes on Dec 7th? I don't want my kid having the same birthday as the attack on Pearl Harbor!"

Umm, really?

I jokingly told him that if I think the baby is going to come on that day then I'll do my best to try and hold him/her in

Our due date is Dec 6 as well, and DH said the exact same thing!!! It cracked me up...LOL

Seriously though. Its ok if its bday is December 7th. Think about how many people have birthdays and anniversaries on Sept. 11th.

i am december 6th too! and uh, i never even thought about pearl harbor. haha.

Yeah. I remember one of my friends turned 16 on Sept. 11th 2001. And since we were on the west coast a lot of people didn't know until we got to school.

All these people brought her ballons and flowers for her bday. But like an hour later everyone was sad/freaking out about the attacks.

She had a pretty crappy Sweet 16.

SIL commented on this to us. We are due on her bday and she pointed out that if we were early it would be Pearl Harbor day (which is also BIL's bday). DH and I were like whatever! I would have been amused if DH had been worried!

that is funny. but it's just a date and all you can ask for is a healthy baby born whenever it feels ready to come out

bwahahahaha!  That is so funny.  I never would have thought of that. I really don't think any kids on the playground would make fun of someone for having a 12/7 birthday.  Or that most people would even know.

My EDD right now IS December 7th and it hadn't even crossed my mind.  And I'm a  social studies/history nut!  But I think my EDD will be moved up--maybe to the end of November after my 1st u/s.

(It's ok, mine totally is, too! My birthday is the same as his parents' and a historical event...he remembers both because of the historical event and not because of each other...haha.)
