All of yours are spelled right. What is wrong with you?
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I really do love Emily. It's too bad that it is just so darn popular. Besides the top 10 status, there are two Emilys and an Emmy in my family already.
Well, the best most amazing E name in the world is mine. ?ilis. But if I must pick from yours..... *sigh*.... Eloise. It's very pretty and not very common.
The "weez" in Eloise is holding me up a little too, but I LOVE the name. DH hates it though, so I'm not sure there is a point in holding on to it. I love Emily, but it's been #1 on the SS list for 10 years (though it did drop to #3). That being said, the youngest Emily I know is in 8th grade. Elise is the front runner in our house right now...but I do like Elaine...and it's not often used...though, every time I say it, I picture a girl from my middle school (not a bad picture...just I see her every time! haha).
Emily is currently (2008-the latest results we have as of now) THE MOST popular name in my state (Texas). I think it's pretty just like everyone else, but I don't want my DD to have to go by "Emily H." in her kindergarten class, because there are 3 other Emilys. Not sure how popular Emily is across the pond, though.
Also, just something to take into consideration:
The LOST series finale is May 23rd. One of the most mythological, mysterious, all-knowing characters on that show is named Eloise.
While I LOVE this show, and wouldn't have a problem w/ people thinking I named my DD after her, you may be different. So that's why I'm letting you know. If it were perhaps in a year or two, no one would even think of it! Maybe you could save it for LO#3? haha
So, ANYWAY I like Elise best of all the name choices. It's so beautiful!

Im glad being a ___ makes your life fulfilled. You will be a wonderful role model for your children. Im sure they will get far in life.
You are going to need a thicker skin if you go through with that name.
So doing nothing would make me have thick skin? No it would make me a pushover. Im just defending myself.
Except you're not. You're retaliating by insinuating that the OP is a bad mother because she made a joke about the name you chose. Thicker skin = not caring what other people think, so you learn what to let slide, what to make a witty retort against, and what to throatpunch for. Think of this as practice for Real Life antagonism. It'll be much worse than what some strangers on a messageboard (myself included) say. I do appreciate your resolve.

Me making fun of the name you picked has nothing to do with being a role model for my 1 year old child and the child currently baking. I have not told my son that Kennadee is a terrible name yet. He would not understand. When he grow up and gets married and has kids...I'll make sure he does not make any terrible name choices...or at least encourage him not to. I do think he'll get far in life. He has a nice strong, normally spelled name. No discrimination on resumes/applications in his future.

The way you treat others will rub off on your children whether you want it to or not. Just because you are not directly telling your son what you think, doesnt mean that he wont pick up on it. Maybe not at the age of 1, but eventually. I think that the way a child is raised will make more of an impact on the person they grow up to be than their name. Just my opinion.

Water off a duck's back, as they say!
Obviously I dont care what others think or I wouldnt still be naming my daughter Kennadee. I have let things slide, but naming a post to pick fun of a name I chose is something that I felt I needed to respond to. I also never said that she is a bad mother. I just wanted her to be aware of the impression she might be making on her kids.
And name calling is better? Just make sure you teach little Kennadee those great name calling names...she'll need them when she's being ridiculed in 5th & 6th grade.
Set your kid up for success, man...Kennedy is such a cute name and could even be classy...but you are KILLING it. It's so sad.
I vote for Elise, classic pretty. The others are nice as well. I work with a lady that we call "crazy elaine" so that name is pretty much ruined for me.

hehe I didn't jump in on that Kennadee post, but it was certainly enjoyable to read through!
I voted Eloise, but Elise is just as pretty. Eloise is just the least common out of the two. HTH!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Oh, gosh, you are right...maybe I should change them:
Ellycee
Ehmilee
Ellelouysee
El Laynee

Did you read my post? I would never in a million, billion, gazillion years name my kid Kennadee.
I don't like Eloise (and I really want to!) because of the "weez" sound. It just really rubs me the wrong way.
I voted for Elaine. Beautiful and not as common imo...
