Georgia Babies

I'm free!!! Officially done with work!

I'm on PTO the rest of this week and my FMLA starts Monday - woot!!  Now I just wait on this baby to get here.  I'm not quite sure what to do with myself to be honest!  Everything is done so really there isn't much for me to do around here.  I'm going to make some freeze ahead meals tomorrow and Friday.  Maybe she'll decide to be born this weekend :o

  • Yay, congrats! Just enjoy your free time. Lay on the couch, go to a movie or dinner this weekend. Take a nap! She'll be here before you know it.

  • That is great that you are done with work, I have 2 more days and then I can breathe!  Enjoy your time off and try to rest/relax! What hospital are you delivering at? We might be there at the same time - I am scheduled for my c-section on Tuesday morning at Northside. (Perimeter location) Can't wait to hear about your baby's arrival!
  • How exciting!

My DS was born at 39w2d and I had really no indication that anything was going on until the day I went into labor.  So, you just never know... she might be here any day now!!  Who is your labor buddy?

  • I'll be delivering at Emory Eastside!  I'm most likely going to have a c-section, but since this is my first they are not going to schedule anything at this point.  Apparently I have a narrow pubic something or other which means my pelvis is too narrow for her to fit through making vaginal delivery almost impossible.  Her head is still floating and nowhere near down in the birth canal.  Lovely!

Well we won't be at the same spot then, but I'll be thinking of you.  I ended up with a c-section for my first, since the baby never dropped and was lodged in my pelvis.  Not the birth I had in mind, but in the end you just want what is best for you and your baby and how they get here is not as important.  Either way, I hope you have a smooth delivery and recovery!

Too bad, it would be fun to know someone there!!  I've heard c-sections aren't bad at all.  I just would like to at least go into labor on my own and experience it a little...call me crazy!  I hope you have a smooth delivery as well.  Early congrats to you!!

  • Congrats--hope she decides to arrive soon!
