Barely 5 weeks in and already scared! Long...

I don't know if this is a rant or a rave. Is this happening to anyone else?

My urine test came back negative from the clinic last Friday :( They called me Friday to give me the bad news and scheduled a blood test for Monday. They told me to "assume I was STILL pregnant" but it didn't look good and to come in. Of course this made for a very long weekend.

The rational part of me was telling me to listen to the doctor and accept the bad news, but I FEEL pregnant. I know he's wrong. I miscarried at 4 weeks in Feb. so I feel like I know what to expect if I miscarry early.

Monday's appointment was terrible. They drew my blood and scheduled another blood draw for Wednesday so they can check my HCGs. A new doctor said they'd only call me if my levels were below 5.

The new doctor called me this morning. She said my HCG levels are 240 right now. My progesterone level is 46, which she said was great. We won't really know anything until my next blood draw but she seemed more confident that I am in fact pregnant! What a relief.

Phew! The ups and downs of pregnancy and I'm only 5 weeks!

    What a rollercoaster of emotions! I'm glad you have good news from today, hopefully your next beta #'s are doubled!! Congrats!

Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     YEAH for baby! 

    I understand the odd doctor appointment, I went through something similar.  It was scarey. 

    BFP #1 March 24, 2010; missed m/c May 26, 2010 @ 12w 4d; D&E May 28, 2010

    BFP #2 Oct 20, 2010; My little boy was born on July 5, 2011

    BFP #3 April 30, 2013; Chemical Pg May 5, 2013

    BFP #4 Aug 22, 2013; It's a boy.  Loss discovered at 24 weeks on Jan 15, 2014 (cause CMV virus)

    Wow!  What a rollercoaster.  I'm sorry you had to go through that, but congrats on the good news today.  I hope your next beta numbers are great! Hang in there!  Good luck!!
