Itzbeen Timer/Iphone Apps to track baby

I purchased Itzbeen Timer (on sale for $3.99 at Target). I guess I should have read more about the product coz it wasn't exactly what I thought it was. So glad that it's only $3.99. It;s a great timer but does not keep track of the number of wet ones, dirty, etc. The device will tell you when was the last event but would not necessarily tell you if ur baby had 6 or X number of wet ones.

I'm shopping around for an iphone apps that we can install on my iphone and DH's iphone. Any recommendation? I want something that would trend daily activities. TIA!

  • We ended up using our Itzbeen as a flashlight :/

I have an app called Baby Brain.  It's pretty good - my only complaint is that I can't pause the feeding timer.

  • I know its not a iphone app and its kind of old school, but I used the time- too baby tracker books.  I kept them by the glider where I did all of the feedings and kept a pen stuck in the binding and I used it to not only note everything (wets, poops, sleep, feedings) but also to write down questions that I thought of for the doctor at like 3am that I knew I would never remember.  anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there:

I basically went old school, too, and used the book I got at my bf class (I think that's where I got it?).  I used the Itzbeen to keep track of time between feedings and sleeping for the first couple of weeks (it would notify me when it was time to feed him), but would write down the time of feedings and diaper changes in the book.  Now that I have an iPhone, though, I'd probably consider an app for the next one.  We'll see...

  • that was my complaint about the Itzbeen as well.  I use the Total Baby app on my iphone and love it.  It does allow for pausing a nursing session and you can track dr appts, vaccine etc in addition to the typical diapers, sleep and feedings.  I like that I can see the totals by day.  It also lets you sync between another iphone, itouch, ipad, etc.

The other one I looked at was Baby activity logger.  I like that it has charts and graphs.  I ended up with Total baby since it tracked drs, vaccine and milestones.

  • my app was called notebook & pencil (maybe that's because my phone is from 2005...time to update, no?).

  • my sister in law recommended the Total Baby iphone app to me - she said she loved it.  I'm going to give it a try, I'll let you know what I think in a week!
  • Yeah, the Itzbeen was a total waste of money. Luckily not my money, though. Then again, I'm a bad mommy. I didn't even attempt to keep track of that stuff.
