How much is your homeowners insurance per year in relation to how much your house is worth? DH and I want to buy a house so badly, and yes when the time comes we will call our insurance company before we commit, just wondering!

How much does it cost per year?
$1000...we're insured for 250,000. We paid 145,000 for it.
$536/yr for $500 deductible with the following coverage:
$170,610 dwelling, $17,061 other structures, $119,427 personal property, 12 months living expense, $300,000 family liability, $5,000 guest medical, $25,000 identity theft.
Includes 5% discount for protective device (deadbolts) and 15% discount for multiple policies (Allstate also covers our vehicles)
