I didn't end up taking another one because after calming down reading posts on the nest for a little bit, my eyes got tired enough and the ones I took earlier kicked back in so I got some really good sleep last evening.

The blowout with the IL's resulted in me telling them they are never welcome at my house ever again. 

Long story short, they took a loan in their name to consolidate some bills for us.  I says bad idea but Patrick chose to do it anyway.  So of course, of all loans and cc's we have, they will obviously be the first one paid.  The issues we had with the bank yesterday, they somehow twisted that we're not paying their loan.  Uh, look at your bank statements for the last eight months and you'll clearly see that it is current.  They go off on Patrick like BSC f*cks.  I mean, we're talking something you'd see on Jerry Springer.  They created a situation that doesn't even exist and went off from there.

I fumed at their stupidity reiterating/clarifying all points and wanting to know how they twisted a clear statement that was nothing more than "you're going to see a $50 deposit into your checking acct and knwo that you did not make it and i'm letting you know how it got there".  Doesn't get much more clear than that.

So the end result is them being pissed off I'm putting them in their place, I tell them I'm offended and infuriated that they'd think I'd eff them over financially when their loan has nothing to do with what happened and will not be over this anytime soon.

So then they say "well, are we still welcome to ethan's bday party, i understand if you say no."  

WTF does that come from?  WTF does that have to do with anyhting?  So I say, until you can come correct with me and clear your attitude, f*ck no I do'nt want you anywhere near this house.

OMG! That's so crazy - no wonder you wanted to take something. That would have sent me over the edge and my head would have been in the toilet.

I hope you guys come up with a plan to get this paid off asap.

I found out from a chick I know know at the bank that I can get a secured (my jeep) loan so I'm considering doing that and taking that money and paying their sh*t off.

but then i lose my jeep if i can't pay that loan - it's almost worth it though to get the IL's done

Then there's that. Maybe DH can pick up some extra work to get it paid off faster. So sorry Kitty

Thanks.  I have 100% control of the bank accounts  now because Patrick has given up control.  But really all it is is that he effed a bunch of stuff up and now his creative financing, refi, consolidation options are zero now so there's nothing left for him to eff up so I really have control of it because I need to clean up the mess he made.  The mess we're in is because on top of the poor decisions he made, he lost half his salary in August.  It's only just now catching up.  I tried to head it off but he'd deposit open lines of credit into checking to pay the bills not realizing that is doing nothing but hurting our case.

His raise and promotion put him at $70k.  That's a help.  What he needs to do is do 3pm-11pm, come home, get his sleep, go into a dealership offering him $30/hr during the day and just make sure he's off to be at his other job by 3pm.  If I had two kick ass salaries available to me, I'd do it in a second.  I am honestly going to say that if our marriage survives this catastrophe, I will be surprised.  Very surprised.

Wow!  Sorry to hear that!  We've had our fair share of arguments over my opinion on not mixing money and family.  He sees nothing wrong with it and I disagree 100%.
