seems like DS can't hear

When DS was born he passed the newborn hearing test perfectly fine.  I have been reading that he should be able to respond to my voice or DH's voice and I haven't noticed that he has been doing that.  Is anyone else going through this, do you think that he may not be able to hear now?

don't worry. I had a similar concern around 2mos, i was snapping and clapping by his ears and he wasn't reacting and I was convinced he was not hearing. Anyway....i asked the ped and they said that it is EXTREMELY unlikely a child will lose hearing after passing the newborn hearing exam. Would have to be super high fever, hospitalization, etc.  they said sometimes they just don't react to the stimuli.

So, try not to fret.

DD has worried me a few times but other times she turns just by hearing me enter the room or my voice outside the door at daycare. I think sometimes they are just fascinated by something and whatever noise your making is just not interesting enough to distract them.
